Women's Harmony Delight Chorus

Treat yourself to the sheer joy of creating beauty with other women who love to sing! We'll sing harmony-rich songs from a variety of cultures, ranging from simply gorgeous to outrageous (also, of course, gorgeous!). Many songs are a cappella, but Jan also accompanies on guitar and provides percussion instruments for the group. Singers of all levels are encouraged to share in the fun. Some instruction in vocal technique and movement included in the class. Reading music helps, but is not required.

Jan Maier has many years of experience as a choral conductor, songleader, workshop leader, performer, and musician for women's retreats around the country and in Mexico. Her CD, Mountain Skyes (www.folkweb.com) features eclectic folk, and she was the musician at women's retreats with Joan Borysenko for seven years. A co-founder of Vocal Arts Collaborative, she also works in health research and is fascinated with the relationship between music and health!
